Bookmark leading to the “Reinvent Your Summer” activities, which offer fun and educational daily challenges for families, aimed at maintaining the joy of learning during the holidays.
Examples of challenges for “Reinvent Your Summer”:
- Reading and writing: Create a journal of activities, write a weekly challenge list, or organize a book-themed scavenger hunt.
Creative activities: Decorate an achievement jar and add an item for each completed challenge.
Outdoor/physical activities: Create physical challenges based on the alphabet.
Cooking and discovery: Cook as a family or write recipes.
These challenges are part of an effort to prevent the “summer slide,” helping children stay intellectually engaged. Printable resources, are sometimes included in these initiatives to encourage reading.
